(Part 3 of 3)
We spent 3 nights in Seoul and then 3 nights in Taiwan before heading back home together.
Three nights is way too short for visiting a new country, but we made the most of it and got a TON of steps in from wandering around and exploring.
I finally got to try Isaac Toast (got it twice haha it was delicious), and also went to a cool Valentine’s Day pop-up at Amore Seongsu where I got to try their skincare products got free ice cream at the end!
It snowed one day so we went to the Hangul Museum (which was free) and learned about King Sejong, who developed the writing system because he wanted everyone to be able to read and express their thoughts :’) like wow he was a real one.
My sister and I reunited with our parents in Taiwan, and I got to meet my cousin’s twins for the first time! They are the cutest babies I have ever seen.
It was my first time being in Taiwan in the winter, so it was really nice to not be dripping sweat all the time haha…but tbh it was still pretty hot. I have no expectations when I visit besides spending time with extended fam, but it was nice to be able to visit a few new places.
I’m always struck by Taiwan’s beauty whenever I visit.
Wish I could capture the scent of 桂花 (osmanthus) via photos or words, but you’ll just have to trust me that the air smelled lovely walking around the reservoir.
